You Are Now Free to VoIP Via 3G on Your iPhone

E-mail Print PDF

As you may have heard me say before, the iPhone can do almost everything under the sun, except to open a bottle of champagne, with its amazing applications - with the exception of the use of its 3G goodness for Skype calls, which is . You could use any open WiFi signal to dial your friends for free over the Internet, but Apple drew the line at jumping on the 3G signal to use voice over IP.

After many complaints of the geek population (including some complaints from this server), Apple has finally enabled 3G voice over Internet calls, which includes free use of Skype on your Application. Hop in your cue to call anyone, anytime, and now you do not have to go looking around town for a free WiFi signal in parts of the city who are not familiar. If only this would have happened a few weeks ago when he was abroad, which would have made my life much easier traveling.
