Perhaps you have heard that a new iPhone Facebook application is almost complete. Perhaps you have also heard that probably the best feature is that you can upload videos directly from your iPhone to 3GS social network. Well actually, you should not wait for the new application to do so - there is one that is the case. And it is really fast.
VideoUp is an application created by Raizlabs. While I am in no way affiliated with Facebook, the social network was nice enough to help them solve a couple of bugs to make it ready for the App Store, founder Greg Raiz says. This is good news because it means Facebook is apparently not tyrannical and demanding that its application is the only official who will be able to make video uploads to the network.
VideoUp is very simple. If the login to your account via Facebook Facebook Connect, select the video you want to upload (you can choose one in your library or take a new), enter a description, and you're done. What's really quite amazing about the application is only the speed of loading the video. The 16-second test video I shot below, has been loaded and reproduced on Facebook in less than a minute. Easily beating the time to upload on YouTube iPhone 3GS, and the quality seems much better.
VideoUp advised to hold your iPhone horizontally, so that it appears correctly on Facebook. However, if you do it vertically, it is easy to rotate the video there as well. Of course, this only works with the new iPhone 3GS, which has video capabilities.
