EA Sports is one of the few gaming companies that successfully managed to charge $ 9.99 for a game in the App Store from Apple. Madden NFL 10
, priced at $ 10, remains a top seller and now the FIFA Soccer 10
has hit the App Store for $ 9.99 and seems destined to make a tour for first place in the category of games.
While we did not play Madden so well that we hoped it would on the iPhone (and iPod Touch), we think that football, with its vertical view and control system simple, should make a better transition to the iPhone.
FIFA Soccer 10 is facing stiff competition from some of Gameloft Real Soccer 10
, we have to say he plays well - and Real Soccer 10 sells for less ($ 6.99) and has a loyal following (whereas this is first EA soccer game for the iPhone, Gameloft's Real Football 10 is in its second season). Having said that, on the surface, at least, FIFA Soccer 10 appears the most robust of the two games, offering licensed teams and more players and a "Be a Pro" mode that lets you create a player and follow his game for several seasons.
If you do not have an iPhone or iPod Touch, EA Sports is also launching FIFA 10 in all active consoles (PS3, PSP, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii and DS) and the PC on October 20. However, the versions cost significantly more than $ 10.
We'll let you know our impressions of FIFA 10 for iPhone and iPod Touch after we played the game. But in the meantime, feel free to make their own comments.
